In the non-urban areas of the Peloponnese one may find all kinds of entertainment, shopping or special activities to satisfy all needs. Small towns and villages in Greece have numerous local celebrations (festivals and traditional anniversaries), each one with its unique food and offerings which vary from place to place. All guests have the chance to taste authentic Greek cuisine and other popular food items, namely honey, pasteli, loukoumia, olives & olive oil, cheese, handmade pasta (hilopites, trahanas), wines, nuts, crisp bread and of course each town and village also has their local meats (mainly roasts) and sweets.

As for the athletic visitor, the Peloponnese offers many opportunities for hiking or rock climbing (independent or guided), skiing (try one of several ski resorts Mainalon in Arcadia and Helmou in Achaia), rafting (Lousios river), summer sports and fishing in any of the beaches. Finally, tourists may also enjoy playing tennis, basketball and soccer in private sports centers or public municipal facilities.
